Event Information

Don't know what event will benefit you the most or you simply just want to learn more? You came to the right place! We frequently get asked these types of questions, so we wanted to create a landing spot for everyone to read about our events and what they entail.

 

Members and non-members are welcome to our events! Why do we do that? We always want you to see the value in our Chamber. To be able to see what we are about and to get your feet wet before you make the plunge into membership if you are not a member! 

B2B PM: This translates to Business to Business After Hours. If you prefer networking after work or would only be able to join us at that time, this one is for you! This event starts at 4:30PM and lasts until 6:30PM, come and go as you please. This event generally takes place at the company's location who is sponsoring or at our office for our members who are home based. Our sponsor is also more than welcome to host this event wherever they please! There often are light snacks and beverages along with door prizes!

B2B AM: Calling all early risers! This is our one and only structured networking event that is from 7:30Am to 8:45AM. It is setup up like speed dating, but it is speed networking. It is one of our most intentional events where you are sure to leave with new contacts to fill up your pipeline. This is a member favorite so much so that we added an extra one to the calendar making it 5 times a year!

Coffee with a Member: Our Coffee with a Member is a quick 45 minute event that is held on the last Friday morning at 8AM of every month. Like every other event, location varies depending on who our sponsor is that month. Coffee Central is a our coffee sponsor, so they provide their delicious coffee every month for us. We always encourage members and non-members to stop by and grab a cup of joe on their way to work!

Chamber 101: We always love sharing about what we can do for our members, so we have this cool mini workshop we host in our training room here at our office every other month! This allows current members to brush up on everything Chamber or new and non-members to learn all the ways we can help their business. Attendees usually bring their own lunch to eat during this since it is held at lunchtime from 12PM to 1PM!

Quarterly Luncheon: This is our biggest event through out the year! Since it is quarterly, the months we host this event are February, May, August, and October. They are held at the Landers Center and we have an average of 250 - 300 people who attend! We try our best to bring the most applicable speakers with topics you are able to relate to and that are informational. Since this is our highest attended event, we make sure to help pair any new member or non-member with one of our seasoned Ambassadors to help take you around to be introduced to other attendees. We all know it can be scary being in a big room with tons of people and not know anyone or not know where to start networking, so this helps eliminate that fear. Event time is 11:30Am - 1PM.

On The Menu: Professional development is one of the biggest resources we provide to the business community. On The Menu is our version of a Lunch & Learn where we bring in speakers to talk about social media, networking, time management, leadership, etc. This event happens four times a year and our location sponsor for 2023 is Turn Key Realty Group! So, if you decide to attend, make sure to bring a note pad and pen because you will definitely want to take notes! Event time is 11:30AM - 1PM.

Women in Business Luncheon: This is one special event we co-host annually with Community Bank at the Landers Center. Why is it special? Because it is our goal to shower the women who attend with encouragement and vital topics that can easily be applied into their busy lives. We incorporate fun and business at this event as a reminder that those two can be combined. That is why we hand pick our panelists every year to make sure we have rotating views and advice to share with everyone. In hopes of building a community of strong business women, we plan to create an offspring event to continue this inspiration through out the year! Event time is 11:30AM - 1PM.

New Member Mixer: We wanted to do something just for our new members to help catapult them into the Chamber world, so this was our brainchild! Quarterly, we host this event at Yakiniku Southaven. We invite our new members from the previous quarter to join us and our Ambassadors to mingle, ask questions and to cheer them on. Event time is 4:30PM - 6:30PM.

Murder Mystery: At the Chamber, we are all about business and we also like to have fun. This mysterious event is one example of that! Our Southaven Young Professionals co-host this with us once a year at the Snowden House on a Friday night. When registering for the event, you can choose to be a character or investigator. Registration also includes food and beverages. So, if you are looking for a fun date night, a girls night, or just a night to meet new people, make sure to join us for an evening full of questions and mystery! Event time is 6PM - 8:30PM.

Patio Social, Tailgate on the Patio, and Christmas Open House: All of these are a branch off of B2B PM where we host here at our office! They kick off Summer, Fall, and Christmas. We still do have sponsors for these events and incorporate elements such as themes or contests! Event time is 4:30PM - 6:30PM.

Southaven Scare on the Square: Our Southaven Young Professionals created this event in 2022 and had thousands of people attend! This event is held at Silo Square and we hope to help recreate this amazing family friendly event for everyone to enjoy. Event time is 5:30PM to 8:30PM.

Southaven Christmas Parade: We love planning this every year with the help of the City of Southaven and the Southaven Police Department! This is a fun event for you and your family. This parade has created core memories for the citizens of Southaven for years and we hope you are able to join us this year! NEW parade time is 10AM!
